Afterglow and Regret
Posted by PintofStout on November 8, 2006
America woke up this morning and some of us had a little extra spring in our step and a good feeling about the night before. Some of us awoke to a burning sensation and 10 bucks on the night stand. The first group decided on consensual copulation (and may have enjoyed a cigarette while they still could); the second were used like two-bit whores and left with only regret and a promise to call (they never do).
As much as the voters say it will be different this time, the behavior is habitual. When the dirty feeling has passed (a shot may take care of that burning) and conditions have still continued to decline, they’ll start looking for another leech that promises them commitment, pretends to listen, and is gone as soon as they get what they want.
Like syphilis on a frat boy, a divided government will only slow them down for a little while and only slightly. So I would suggest some shots and a change in habits.

My condolences to you, you wife and family. I never know what to say at these times…
Take care,

Thanks. Condolences are enough, and appreciated.

Not sure where you’re going. Looking back at who we have in the house and senate, I think we have the second – the burning sensation and the 4.8 Million Units fix.

Where I was going was based on the two linked posts within the above. This was the post that closed out my anti-voting…series?…of posts. I think you’re right though, most have that empty feeling, half of their income is missing, and it burns to pee. Still, like the cheap whores with zero self-esteem, they are lining up for the sweet lies of love and commitment yet again. They won’t even get the health care that will pay for the shot to make the itch subside. Perhaps they are already insane from the syphilis.
