“A Shameful Act…”

George Bush commented on the leaking of the information about him authorizing domestic wiretaps as a shameful act. It appears to me that the shameful act in question here isn’t whether someone ratted him out, but that he authorized the wiretaps in the first place.
If anyone can find where in the Constitution – we all remember what that is, don’t we – it gives the president the authority to do such things, I’d like to know. Here’s a link to go look. Go ahead, I’ll wait. Now, please refer to Amendments X and IV.
Now, to me, that is GW explicitly (and not for the first time, either) breaking his oath of office. At the very least he should be impeached. If taken in light of his deliberately violating the Constitution on several occasions and his conduct in general, he would be lucky to get off with impeachment and not hung for treason!
I don’t want people to get the wrong idea; I don’t just hate on the current president. No, hanging him would just be a good start. Ninety-nine percent of our lawmakers would follow the impeachment/treason path, as well; both sides of the isle and throughout history. That would be a good start.
